Earlier this year Robert Pattinson and Ewan McGregor where named Ambassadors for the 2016 GoGo Gala and hosted the event this past Saturday night at Manuela in Los Angeles.

Some of the guests included Hollywood’s best like Liam Hemsworth, Lily Collins, Vin Diesel, and more than 300 other guests, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for orphans and vulnerable children worldwide. When the Gala was announced, Pattinson’s fans rallied to raise $30,000 in the actor’s name to match his age (as he turned 30 this year) and by the night of the event, they had raised $30,125 in his honor.

Nancy, one of three co-founders of the “Rob Birthday Project” told us what motivated her and the team to launch such an ambitious fundraiser. “There are a lot of fans like me that discovered Rob during Twilight or even Harry Potter and have remained his loyal fan all these years and I think it’s because of the type of person he is. He is good and kind and humble and gracious and has a good heart and so much charisma. So when [the fans]  learned of his involvement with GO [Campaign] it compelled all of us to do for others give back, just like [Robert Pattinson].”

Thisniajt the first time the fans have pulled through. The Pattinson fan base has been reaching out and helping charities since 2014 to show the Brit and the world that manybfan come together for a positive cause.

“When we learned of Rob’s involvement with GO, we turned our attention to that charity. In 2015, between his 29th birthday campaign and the GO Gala, when it was announced he was going to be an Ambassador for GO, along with Ewan McGregor, Rob fans raised $31,615.00 for the GO Campaign in honor of Rob,” Nancy tells us. “And in 2014 Rob fans helped fund the recycled orchestra on Rob’s behalf and donated approximately $10,000.00.”

Nancy had the opportunity of attending the Gala Saturday night and thank the humanitarian herself. She states Pattinson mentioned the fans support was “amazing” an thanked her and everyone involved.

The Gala was filled with amazing items up for auction such as 2 House Seat Tickets to See Hamilton, a Caribbean Escape for Six to La Samanna, St. Martin, French West Indies, a BMW Racetrack Experience for 6 and a Private Jet Experience VIP Tour of BOND and a Stay at Meadowood Resort for Four.
